Hi, I'm Andy. I first got into music when I was the tender age of 11; this is when I started playing on the local Country and Western club scene. I was in a band at that time with my brother and sister and a mutual friend. We called ourselves "Jack Of Diamonds" and although we were successful locally, failed to stand the test of time and take it to a national level. I rebelled against my country roots to play in heavy rock bands, touring on the university circuit, and then later became a session player for a large number of recording acts throughout Britain. I met Kas in, of all places, a supermarket and as a therapeutic diversion to running these things, we came up with the Brushwood concept.

With singles in the European charts and national and international success we seem to go from strength to strength and I hope that we will carry on having the good luck we have experienced so far.

Hi there, I'm Kelvin, Kas to people who know me better, and I've been playing the guitar and writing songs since I was about fifteen. I met Andy when we were both working in retail management. By coincidence we were both born in Tuebrook, Liverpool, living about half a mile away from each other. I had previously worked for many years as an area manager for a grocery retail chain and had relocated to Teesside to help expand the company but as days rolled into years I realised there were never enough hours left to spend on the things that I wanted to do. After much deliberation I decided that writing and playing music was really the way I wanted to earn my living and gradually, over time, Brushwood evolved.

I enjoy being a part of Brushwood, we get to travel all over the country and meet some great people. Of all the things we do as Brushwood, the things I enjoy most are writing and playing original songs, performing them on stage to an audience and seeing them singing along to the words as they dance or watch. I don't think anything else could really compare to the feeling that brings. Brian joined has joined us recently and this addition opens more doors and festivals for us. Not many genres would allow three ordinary blokes with guitars to get up and have a go at playing to a crowd of people and, at the end of the night; someone comes along and pays us! Could it get any better?

Hi I'm Brian, I started playing guitar at the age of thirteen and began by playing in bands at school and have been working ever since.

During the last 15 years, whilst touring around the British country music circuit, I have worked for many award winning bands including Lemon Grass, Mandy Allen Band, Pete Nadens Honest Truth, Dez Walters band and now of course Brushwood.

I worked with Brushwood last year and am looking forward to playing as a 3 piece around the country. I've appeared on the latest Brushwood album ‘Helter Skelter’ and have recently recorded my own album containing my own original songs, called, “Hearts and Minds". Look me up on the net at   "myspace", "youtube", and "showcase your music".
